Festival

India celebrates lots of festivals. Some festivals are celebrated throughout the country, in one form or the other, and some are regional like Baisakhi and Onam. Fasts and festivals are observed by millions of Hindus, little knowing the origin and the logic behind the celebrations. An attempt has been made to highlight the origin, the history of the tradition. Some forgotten festivals and some especially important regional festivals have also been included.
