Reasons
for Kapha aggravation |
|
| 1.
Eating a lot of food that is kapha in nature (heavy, oily, sweet, dense)
such as foods high in sugar and fat content including meat, dairy products,
banana, mangoes, rice, breads, consuming a lot of liquids. |
2. Eating
while feeling grief or sadness, or being greedy. |
3. Engaging
in activities that increase kapha include overeating, sleeping excessively
(especially during the day). |
4.
The natural conditions that aggravate kapha are cold and damp climates,
early morning (after sunrise) and evening (after sunset) and childhood. |

| Remedies to balance kapha |
| 1. To balance
excess kapha, foods and drinks opposite in nature are consumed. So foods
that are vata or pitta in nature (light, dry, spicy, acidic, hot) should
be eaten. |
|
2. Avoiding
activities that stimulate kapha is beneficial. |
