sour, acidic, spicy, salty, and hot) such as chillies, most spices, fried
and greasy food, aubergine, tomato, carrot, onion, garlic, citrus fruit,
papaya, pineapple, mustard and vinegar.
2. Eating
while angry, or experiencing anger frequently, drinking excessive amounts
of tea, coffee, alcohol or smoking are pitta aggravating.
3. The naturally
occurring pitta aggravating factors include exposure to heat and sunlight,
midday and midnight.
Remedies to balance pitta
1. To balance
pitta, foods and herbs opposite in nature are consumed.
2. Foods that
should be included are grains, rice and pasta, breads, dairy products,
sweet drinks and foods. The use of spices should be reduced.
