Try this easy treatment to help with chapping and scaling. This will also reduce itching. Only use this treatment if you are in excellent health. Add six pounds of table or rock salt to warm water in your tub. Soak in the water for 15-20 minutes twice a day Massage coconut, almond or olive oil into wet skin.
Cucumber Toner
This is a refreshing toner for normal skin. Chop up a small sized fresh cucumber and liquidise it with half a cup of yogurt. Apply the mixture for 5-10 minutes, and wah it off. The remainder can be stored in the fridge for future use.
Ginger skin care
Ginger invigorates, and oil soothes, for those of you who have dry skin, use a double dose of this formula.
Take 2-inch piece of fresh ginger, 2 tsp light sesame oil; 2 tsp apricot kernel oil, 2 tsp vitamin E oil and ½ cup cocoa butter. Preheat oven on lowest setting.
Finely grate the ginger just enough so that you have about an 1/8 teaspoon of ginger juice. To obtain the juice, squeeze the freshly grated ginger over a small bowl. Place the ingredients in a glass container and heat just until the cocoa butter is melted and the oils are blended. Pour into a clean, dry container and store in a cool dry place.
You can use this mixture for at least a week. You can also add a few drops of orange or other essential oil in it.
